Upcycling is the process of converting old or discarded materials into something useful and beautiful. When you combine your creativity with the right tools, used clothing, furniture and even everyday household items can be given new life as wearable accessories, home décor, and unique gifts, and toys. This week, campers will be inspired and given the tools and techniques to offer a second chance to items that would otherwise end up in a landfill. They might turn tin cans into wind chimes or bottle caps into art stamps to name a couple of possibilities. With this experience, children may continue after camp to find new uses for recyclables they find on a daily basis at home or out and about. ALL CAMPERS WILL BE ENGAGED IN ACTIVITIES BASED ON EACH WEEK’S THEME. PROJECTS WILL BE TAILORED TO KIDS’ AGES AND ABILITIES. cost: $420.00
